HELL DIVINE
(Brazylia)

Poland never disappoints when it comes to extreme metal. Valinor started in 1993 and since then has released two albums, "Hidden Beauty" is the second of its career. The group invests in an interesting mix of symphonic Black Metal with Death Metal, which gives a great personality to the sound. There are still quite melodic passages that refer to Folk Metal too. Altogether there are nine songs, one of which is the intro and the other an instrumental track. The construction of the songs is quite impressive and intelligent, captivating the listener at the first hearing. The production, though very good, could be more polished and thus give more 'punch' to the sound of the guitars and drums. The vocals are excellent and carry the coldness of Black Metal drawing lines even more understandable. "The Hand Of Death" is definitely the best track on the album, energetic and exciting, the riffs are hard to forget. Also emphasize "The Bloodless Face" by bringing the more traditional side of the BM. The disc is a real Polish hidden beauty, which should and deserves to be discovered. I hope that the band remains active and present us with new work.
