Valinor are a Polish band from the town of Dębica. The roots of the band goes back to 1993, when the band started their first rehearsals.
This particular cd "Hidden Beauty" was first released in 2006, and is actually the bands third release. The album consists of 9 tracks mixing Death Metal, Thrash and some more Doom Metal inspired stuff.
The band gives us a professional sounding cd, with well composed songs, without reinventing or creating anything new in the Metal Genre. Musically theres not much to point at, everything sounds pretty proffessional, and some of the riffs are actually brilliant.
But even though the band shows excellent musiancanship, and great songwriting skills, it lacks of originallity.
If my opinion counts the band would do a lot better without the piano parts and some other synth effects, and generally just punch the music more in the listeners face. But then againg it's a matter of taste, and there are no doubt that this band is just as good as more well known bands in the genre.
